Well it's nearly Xmas, and time to rebuild my work Laptop! (not had any problems for 3 years) but I have wanted to upgrade to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS for a while now, so I can get EXT 4 and also 9.04 is no longer supported.
All went really smooth and I was able to also move my WinXP virtual machine to http://www.virtualbox.org/ Oracles VirtualBox from Win4Lin, I must admit vbox is pretty good and has some good functionality.
I also want to congratulate HP a little, they have hplip-3.10.9 Linux support for my new HP 3050 wireless all-in-one (excellent deal for £32) an absolute steal and really easy to set-up.
