How much data space is needed to store a human?

Always good when you wake up with a question like  "How much storage does it take to store one humans fully encoded DNA?"

Answer: If we can fully prescribe one human’s DNA by specifying the full sequence of base pairs, plus a binary flag to express or suppress each gene, then human DNA contains about 6 Gb or 857 MB of information.

So if you wanted to bind an IoT device with your own DNA for Identity management purposes you would not need that much space really .. :)
