MPLS v Internet v hybrid SD-WAN ?
So after a weekend of IoT botnet security and DDoS attack analysis, time to focus on a slightly different topic SD-WAN, but considering I'm currently engaged on such a project and this article has an SD-WAN flavour I thought it is pertinent to comment.
The network world article makes some interesting points on the performance of MPLS v Internet connectivity in certain regions around the world and also some insight into the cost cutting that service providers use around the globe to provide services and the possible reasons why, but I think it misses a trick, businesses go with MPLS for other reasons over the Internet, more than just performance!
